Q:  How am I charged for Group Direct Connect service?
A:  The initiator of a Group Direct Connect Call will be billed for the total length of the call multiplied by the numbers of participants on the call. Additionally, the Group Direct Connect usage will be deducted from the initiator's Nextel® Local Direct Connect® minutes included in their rate plan.
To calculate how many minutes you would be billed for a Group Direct Connect call that you initiate, multiply the number of active people on the call (including yourself) by the total length of the call. For example:
Total length of Group Direct Connect call = 2 minutes
Total number of people on call = 6 people
6 people x 2 minutes = 12 minutes billed to call initiator
The initiator of a Group Direct Connect call will only be billed for group participants that are on the call.
