Sprint RelaySMServices offer a variety of customized features to meet your specific needs, allowing you to communicate in a comfortable and simple manner. Deaf, hard of hearing or speech disabled customers use a TTY to type their conversation to a Sprint Relay operator and the operator reads aloud these typed words to friends, family members or business associates. The standard telephone user responds with spoken words which the operator types back to the TTY users.
Features
Voice Carry-Over (VCO) - allows deaf or hard of hearing customers to speak directly to standard telephone users. Whey they speak to you, a Relay operator serves as your "ears" and types everything said to your TTY or VCO phone.
Spanish Relay - Sprint Relay also offers Spanish Relay for Spanish speaking customers.
Speech-to-Speech - A service that allows speech-disabled persons to voice their conversation. A specially trained Sprint Relay operator repeats the words of the person with a speech disability or synthesizer output to the other party. You do not need special equipment to use this service.
Confidentiality - All Sprint Relay calls are strictly confidential. Federal law requires strict confidentiality for Communications Assistants (CAs). Therefore, no part of the conversation that takes place between two callers is revealed or stored in written or verbal form.
