CapTelSM provided by Sprint and developed by Ultratec, Inc. captures spoken text and displays it on your CapTelTMphone. Whether it's an incoming or outgoing call, eveything the caller says to you is transcribed into captions that display in a bright, easy-to-read window on your CapTel phone.
Features
CapTel Phone - When dialing out, simply dial the number of the person you want to call and your CapTel phone will automatically connect to both the captioning service and the party you are trying to reach. Your CapTel phone also works like a regular voice phone, so it's easy to use for everyone.
2 Line CapTel - Receives captions on all incoming calls, turns captions on or off at any point in the conversation, eliminates separate telephone numbers for callers to remember and provides captions for every type of call including emergency and relay.
What You'll Need
To make a CapTel call:
A CapTel telephone
To make a 2-Line CapTel call:
A CapTel telephone (Model 200)
Two analog telephone lines with separate telephone numbers are required in your home or office. The second line cannot merely be an extension.
You must configure your CapTel phone in order to enable 2-line CapTel service. It will not automatically switch to 2-Line Mode.
